At the Crossing, 30 x 40”, Oil on Canvas
My oil paintings explore the quiet dialogue between Nature and the human spirit. I’m intrigued by atmospheric conditions that produce fog, haze, bursts of light and the myriad transitions in between dawns and sunsets—as they mirror our ever-changing moods and emotions. Whether it is depicting the mystery of shifting clouds, the stillness of a harbor, or the raw energy of wave against stone, I wish to bring the viewer into a state of transcendence. In painting the sky, I don't see it as a backdrop, but as a reflection of the unseen—the moods, dreams, and silences that echo our humanity. Through nature’s quiet presence, I seek to create spaces of stillness, where the boundaries between the outer world and the soul dissolve. Each painting invites reflection and renewal—a return to the essential, to what is timeless within us. My hope is that each of my paintings becomes a threshold into an inner landscape—a place where one can pause, breathe, and remember.
